Internet users raise over 7500 US dollars on multimedia project about Grozny

For more than two years, photojournalists Olga Kravets, Maria Morina and Oksana Yushko have been making photos of the capital of Chechnya; their works are forming the multimedia project "Grozny: Nine Cities". To have the project finished, a fundraising campaign was launched on the Internet.

Remizov: shortening prison terms of figurants in Volkov's won't repeat Manege Square riots

The mitigation of sentences to those guilty of murdering Yuri Volkov adopted by the Russian Supreme Court will not lead to mass protests, said Mikhail Remizov, President of the National Strategy Institute. Representatives of the public ecological organization "Solnechny Patrul" (Solar Patrol) brought to the Essentuki office of Alexander Khloponin, the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President to the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), an open letter of residents of the region named Kavkazskie Mineralnye Vody (Caucasian Mineral Waters) demanding to stop cutting trees on Mount Mashuk. The similar letters were sent to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
